What are your opening times?
Operating daily mid-March to end of October (10am till 17:30 pm everyday – later in summer). Weather permitting. Please call 07494 170640 to confirm. (We prefer to START last trip by 17:30).
The Operator and staff are licensed by Canterbury City Council in accordance with the 1907 Public Health Act. The Company complies with all the relevant conditions.
What age do Child prices apply?
Children under 5 years are carried free. Age 5yrs to 14yrs inclusive are charged the advertised
Child rate. 15yrs and over are charged the appropriate Adult rate.
Will I have to share with others?
We have always operated with a policy of each group getting their own punt.
Is there a commentary or guided tour?
We are a punt company first and a tour company second. We believe that sometimes it is good to just sit and experience the beauty around us. That being said, our skippers do learn about the history and wildlife of the river over the years. If an informative experience is important to you, please let us know and we will do our best to put you with a skipper who can best provide you with one.

Our address is Westgate Punts, Westgate Grove, Canterbury CT2 8AA.
On bus routes and close to railway stations East and West.
Accessible by Public Transport: 300m from Canterbury West station
Are there any toilets nearby?
Public Toilet facilities located 100m in St Peters Place.
Local toilets are available in restaurants and Public Houses.
Is there car parking available?
Car Parking: In Westgate Grove disabled badge holders only.
Public car park on opposite side of Westgate bridge. (North Lane car park).
Public car park in Pound Lane – 200m.
Limited parking in Whitehall Road (100m)
What is your stance on smoking, eating and drinking on the punts?
Smoking, eating and drinking are allowed at the discretion of the Boatman. Please understand that if you arrive in an obviously inebriated state we may not be able to allow you aboard.
Do you accept credit cards?
We accept all major credit cards. Please bear in mind that we are outdoors and therefore our card readers sometimes do not work. Bringing a bit of cash is advisable just in case. There is a cashpoint close by at the Sainsbury’s local, however.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes, the boat does not leave on a trip for less than the price of 2 adults.
